If this manga had a prequel, it would be called "I was reincarnated into the demon king and turned my kingdom into modern day Japan" because that is basically the setting of the story where FL is exiled after a generic "framed for a crime she didn't commit and got her fiancé stolen by her sister" type plot and discovers modern Japa... I mean the demon kingdom.
It's a entertainingly funny and delightful mismash of many different genres, like cooking (complete with fully narrated recipes as she cooks), isekai (from the POV of the world being isekai'ed into), and fantasy drama (classic got my fiance stolen story) all in one. It's a work that manages to not only combine but also cleverly subvert the common tropes in today's manga and anime trends in a refreshing take.
Also, the fact that all the families (and the kingdom itself) in the Assam kingdom are named after types of tea is SO FUNNY

False title and weird writingThe title is totally misleading. FL has no qualities of a villainess, all she does is act mean to try to break off the engagement, which 1) makes no sense 2) is done so badly she just looks immature and rude. If anyone were a villain, it would be the prince, who is borderline psychopathic and sa her... multiple times throughout the story. The plot made zero sense at the beginning that I was surprised there was actually some proper story near the halfway point, but it's still overall a mess and really weird.

Interested to see where it goesOnce again an isekai story, FL ends up as a maid for the story's villain and honestly speaking, she doesn't just have one death flag, she has a lot! She keeps getting into situations that could kill her if not for the guy being so nice to her. I'm really curious if there's a reason why she's so unlucky, so despite the somewhat bland setting, the story still leaves you wanting to know more.

A silly, classic romcom type storyClassic romcom manga with BL vibes mixed in due to Coral turning into a human man, and of course absolutely terrorizing MC's life with her zero knowledge about human customs. It's a bit too basic and predictable for my taste but still decent if romcoms are your thing. They also bring up some exploration of being trans (since Coral still kind of sees herself as female) and mlm which made it a little more interesting.

Villainess story with refreshing plot twistsAlthough it's an overused setting, this story manages to stand out from the rest with its ample comedy (really couldn't stop laughing reading this), characters that manage to feel fresh and realistic despite their tropes, and good pacing. The reveal at the end of chapter 2 was surprisingly pleasant! I would love to read more, but somehow the ones I like are always the most expensive.

Amazing fantasy dramaLove the FL, she's strong but this is balanced very well with her kindness and she has her times of vulnerability. The supporting characters are well written and just as good looking :) The art is absolutely gorgeous and the story draws you in as FL tries to save the kingdom from its own king while protecting the people loyal to her. Great series.

Cute whimisical slice of lifeChika, who lost her memory of her childhood in the countryside, moves back there after living in the city for a while. There she meets many youkai that only she can see. It's a fun little slice of life of Chika's adventures with the youkai. But there is also some plot regarding Chika's past that she forgot. Overall a very warm and cute story with Ghibli vibes.

Hidden identities & political intrigue...This review contains spoilers. I would say this felt much more like a fantasy political thriller than a romance. An immersive story that slowly reveals the identities and the darker sides of the MCs. Cunning, smart FL and fleshed out side characters.
TL;DR: Very well written, definitely recommend.
MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW:
The guy on the cover is (probably?) not the final ML but the (most likely?) ML is still distantly related to FL and they consider each other family... it did make reading it feel a bit iffy at times. Do with that what you will...
What I like most is that the plot uses and subverts tropes very well and handles things like obsessive feelings seriously like the red flags they are. So overall I still think it's a very good read.

Super cute setting & strong charactersAhhh I just love Therion and Livia!!! The setting of them being genuine gardening friends despite their class difference is so cute, only he can pull off a "proposal" asking whether Livy wants to grow carrots or pumpkins in the mansion backyard. Plus I am so in love with how he's so gentle looking yet has a scheming/cunning side, he's genuinely sweet but not to be messed with. I want to read the rest of it so badly!! Why do the chapters have to be so expensive T_T It's still ongoing too...

Decent readOkay story. MC is crazy naive, but despite having some cringey points the story itself isn't too unrealistic, so it's still okay. The romance is gradual but pretty natural feeling so far.
